This page explains how Petline Art handles personal data on petlineart.com. If you have any questions, email petlineart@hotmail.com.
Who we are
Petline Art operates this site and acts as the data controller for personal information collected through it.
What we collect
- Order data — name, shipping address, email, phone (when provided), items ordered.
- Personalisation data — pet name and photo you upload for the artwork.
- Payment data — processed by our payment provider (Shopify Payments / Stripe / PayPal). We never see your full card number.
- Account data — email and password (hashed) if you create an account.
- Technical data — IP address, browser, device and basic usage analytics.
Why we use it
- To create your artwork and fulfil your order.
- To communicate about your order (proof approval, shipping, support).
- To run the shop, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations (invoicing, tax).
- To improve the site (aggregated analytics only).
Legal bases: contract (fulfilling your order), legal obligation (accounting/tax), and legitimate interest (site security and analytics).
Who we share it with
We only share data with providers strictly needed to run the shop:
- Shopify — e-commerce platform, order storage, checkout.
- Printify and the print provider they route to — printing and shipping your order.
- Payment processors — Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal.
- Email / hosting providers — to send order confirmations and host the site.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the EU (including the USA). Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers offer (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent).
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as required by applicable tax law. Photos you upload are kept only as long as needed to produce your order and then deleted. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email petlineart@hotmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for how cookies and similar technologies are used on this site.
